Anchor a shot with an opening image, a closing frame, or both, and Pollo 1.5 fills the motion between them, giving predictable control over how a clip begins and ends.
On Pollo API, Pollo 1.5 handles text-to-video, image-to-video, and paired-frame workflows through one endpoint, with aspect-ratio choices and 5 or 10 second clips per request.
Key Features of Pollo 1.5 API
Start and End Frame Control
Supply an opening image, a tail image, or both, and the model interpolates motion between them, so reveals and transitions land exactly where you plan them.
Text, Image, and Frame Inputs
Generate from a written prompt, animate a single still, or steer a clip with first and last frames, covering idea-first and asset-first briefs in one model.
Aspect Ratio Flexibility
Text-driven clips render widescreen, vertical, or square, so one model serves landscape story beats, phone-first feeds, and square placements without reframing later.
Detailed Prompt Following
Long, descriptive prompts let you specify subject, action, and setting in depth, giving Pollo 1.5 enough direction to keep staged scenes coherent across the shot.
Efficient Short Clips
Five and ten second generations stay steady frame to frame, holding subjects and camera behavior for social cuts, loops, and quick concept tests.
Use Cases of Pollo 1.5 API
Frame-to-Frame Transitions: Set a start and end image to morph one scene into another, useful for reveal effects and before-after storytelling.
Vertical Social Clips: Render 9:16 video straight from a prompt for short-form feeds, without reframing a landscape source afterward.
Still Photo Animation: Turn a single illustration or product shot into a short moving clip while keeping the original framing intact.
Concept Previsualization: Draft a described shot quickly to test staging and motion before committing to longer production work.
Looping Backgrounds: Generate short square or widescreen loops for site heroes, app splash screens, and ambient displays.
Storyboard Motion Tests: Animate boards between two key frames to preview how a beat actually plays in motion.
Multi-Format Ad Variants: Produce landscape, vertical, and square cuts of one idea to fit different placements from a single model.
How to Use Pollo 1.5 API
Get an API Key: Create a Pollo API account and generate your API key from the developer dashboard.
Choose the Model: Send requests to the Pollo 1.5 endpoint at /generation/pollo/pollo-v1-5.
Add Your Inputs: For text-to-video, pass a prompt and pick an aspectRatio (16:9, 9:16, or 1:1). For image-to-video, pass an image URL, an optional imageTail end frame, and length (5 or 10).
Generate and Retrieve: Submit the task, poll the returned task status, and download the video once it succeeds, or register a webhook to skip polling.
Prompting Best Practices for Pollo 1.5 API
Write for both the shot and its arc. Name the subject, the action, and how the scene should change, especially when guiding a clip with a start and end frame.
A Simple Prompt Formula
Subject + action and how it changes + setting and lighting + camera movement + aspect ratio intent
What You Should Notice
Describe The Change: State how the scene evolves from start to finish so frame-guided clips move toward the ending you want.
Match Frames To Motion: When using start and end images, keep the subject consistent so the model interpolates cleanly between them.
Choose Aspect Early: Pick widescreen, vertical, or square up front so composition suits the target placement.
Keep One Action: Focus each clip on a single movement so five or ten seconds stay coherent.
Add Setting Detail: Name lighting and location to give text-driven clips a clearer scene to build from.
Example Prompts
Pottery Wheel Close-Up
"Wet hands press into spinning clay on a pottery wheel, walls rising into a tall vase, water glistening on the surface. Slow push-in, warm studio light, shallow depth of field, calm realistic style, widescreen framing."
Vertical Street Food Clip
"A vendor ladles broth over noodles in a steaming bowl, chopsticks lifting one strand as steam curls upward. Handheld vertical shot, night market neon, quick focus pull, appetizing realistic style."
Start-to-End Transition
"Open on a bare winter branch dusted with frost, then bloom into full spring blossoms as light warms. Static camera, soft morning glow, gentle petal movement, natural realistic style, square framing."
Looping Aquarium Background
"Translucent jellyfish drift upward through deep blue water, tentacles trailing, faint light rays crossing the frame. Slow continuous camera rise, ambient glow, tranquil realistic style, loop-friendly motion, widescreen framing."

Pollo 1.5 API FAQs
What is Pollo 1.5?
Pollo 1.5 is Pollo's own video generation model that creates clips from text, a single image, or paired first and last frames, with aspect-ratio and length control.
Does Pollo 1.5 API support image inputs?
Yes. You can animate a single image, or guide a clip with both a starting image and a tail image so the motion ends on a frame you choose.
What aspect ratios and lengths are available?
Text-driven clips render in 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1, and image-driven clips run for 5 or 10 seconds per request.
How does start and end frame control work?
Provide an opening image and a tail image, and Pollo 1.5 generates the motion between them, giving reliable control over reveals and scene transitions.
What kind of prompts work best?
Detailed prompts naming subject, action, scene change, and camera help most, since Pollo 1.5 accepts long descriptions and follows staged direction closely.
Why run Pollo 1.5 through Pollo API?
Pollo API gives one integration for Pollo 1.5 and 300+ other models, with documentation, task tracking, webhooks, and lower-cost generation than comparable providers.
