Vidu Q2 Pro uses a starting image to generate detailed motion while preserving fine textures and shapes as the scene animates with steady, believable movement.
With Vidu Q2 Pro on Pollo API, developers add image-guided video to their apps, controlling opening and closing frames, clip length from one to eight seconds, and output up to 1080p.
Key Features of Vidu Q2 Pro API
Start and End Frame Control
Supply a first image and an optional tail image to animate the path between them, giving precise control over how a shot begins and resolves.
Detailed Scene Animation
Preserve intricate texture, line work, and small elements from the source image, keeping illustrated and detailed scenes coherent as they move rather than smearing detail.
Smooth, Deliberate Motion
Build movement evenly across the clip so pans, drifts, and subject actions read as measured and stable, supporting polished output where flicker or jitter would stand out.
Flexible Clip Length
Select any clip length from one to eight seconds to match a short loop, a beat of action, or a longer developing shot without cropping later.
Optional Generated Audio
Turn on generated audio to add a fitting sound layer tuned to the visuals, so the clip leaves the pipeline with matched ambience already attached.
Use Cases of Vidu Q2 Pro API
Illustration to Motion: Animate hand-drawn or painted artwork into a moving shot while keeping brush texture and line detail intact for storybook and comic tools.
First-to-Last Frame Transitions: Set opening and closing stills, then animate the transition between them for controlled reveal effects.
Concept Art Previews: Turn a single key frame from a design team into a short animated look before committing budget to full production.
Detailed Diorama Shots: Bring miniature scenes, dioramas, or intricate sets to life with slow motion that respects every small element in frame.
Recipe and Plating Clips: Animate a finished-dish photo into a short appetizing shot for food apps, holding the fine detail of ingredients and garnish.
Museum and Exhibit Loops: Generate quiet, detail-rich moving shots of artifacts or artwork for interactive displays and cultural content tools.
Short Character Beats: Feed a character illustration and produce a brief expressive moment for webtoon, visual novel, and fan-content platforms.
How to Use Vidu Q2 Pro API
Get an API Key: Create a Pollo API account and generate your API key from the developer dashboard.
Choose the Model: Send your request to the Vidu Q2 Pro endpoint at /generation/vidu/viduq2-pro.
Add Your Inputs: Provide an image URL, optionally a prompt and an imageTail URL for the closing frame, then set resolution (540p, 720p, or 1080p) and length (1-8).
Generate and Retrieve: Submit the task, poll the returned task status, and download the finished video once processing succeeds.
Prompting Best Practices for Vidu Q2 Pro API
Because the source image carries most of the composition, use the prompt to direct motion and mood. Name what moves, how it moves, and the atmosphere you want, rather than re-describing the frame.
A Simple Prompt Formula
Subject and its motion + how the motion develops + camera behavior + atmosphere or lighting shift
What You Should Notice
Let the Image Lead: Choose a clean, detailed starting image, since the model builds directly on its texture and layout.
Set an End Frame: Add a tail image when you want a specific closing state, and the model animates toward it.
Describe the Motion: State the movement you want, such as a slow drift or a gentle turn, instead of restating what is already visible.
Match Length to Beat: Pick a short length for loops and a longer one for developing action, choosing anywhere from one to eight seconds.
Choose Resolution by Need: Reserve 1080p for detail-heavy final shots and use lower settings for faster iteration.
Example Prompts
Illustration Awakens
"A watercolor forest illustration comes alive: leaves sway, a stream glints, and morning mist drifts between the trees. Slow gentle push-in, soft dawn light warming the scene, brushwork texture preserved throughout the movement."
Diorama in Motion
"A tiny model train winds through a handcrafted mountain diorama, smoke curling from its stack as it rounds a bend. Low tracking camera at table level, warm workshop lighting, every miniature detail kept sharp."
First-to-Last Reveal
"Animate from a closed origami crane to the same crane fully unfolded into flat paper. Steady overhead camera, clean studio light, smooth continuous motion between the opening and closing states."
Plated Dish Beat
"A finished bowl of ramen releases rising steam as broth ripples and a soft-boiled egg glistens. Gentle overhead drift, warm kitchen light, appetizing detail on noodles, scallions, and garnish held throughout."
