Sound and character stability come together in Pollo 2.0. The model can generate fitting audio alongside the picture and keep a subject recognizable across a clip, so short videos feel finished rather than muted drafts.
With Pollo 2.0 on Pollo API, developers add text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-guided generation to their apps, picking 480p, 720p, or 1080p output and 5 or 10 second clips per request.
Key Features of Pollo 2.0 API
Built-In Audio Generation
Pollo 2.0 can produce natural-sounding audio matched to the scene, so a generated clip arrives with sound in one pass instead of needing a separate voiceover or music step.
Character Consistency
The model holds a subject's face, outfit, and identity steady from the first frame to the last, which keeps recurring characters coherent across a short narrative or a series of clips.
Text, Image, and Reference Inputs
Start from a written prompt, animate a still image, or steer output with a reference image, so both idea-first and asset-first creators have a direct path to a moving result.
Flexible Aspect Ratios
Text prompts render in widescreen, vertical, square, and portrait shapes, letting a single integration output feeds for landscape players, mobile stories, and square social slots without cropping.
Style Range
From grounded realism to illustrated and stylized looks, Pollo 2.0 adapts to varied briefs, so one model can serve very different visual directions inside the same product.
Fast, Affordable Turnaround
Short 5 and 10 second generations return quickly at a low price point, making the model practical for high-volume drafting, previews, and iterative creative loops.
Use Cases of Pollo 2.0 API
Talking Clip Generation: Pair a described scene with generated audio to produce short spoken or narrated moments for explainer and social tools without a separate sound stage.
Recurring Character Content: Keep a mascot or host visually consistent across episodes, useful for serialized shorts and channel-style content apps.
Vertical Social Shorts: Render 9:16 and 1:1 clips directly for mobile feeds, giving creator tools ready-to-post formats out of the box.
Reference-Guided Scenes: Feed a reference image to lock a look or subject, then generate motion that stays on brief for style-controlled pipelines.
Still Image Animation: Turn a single product or portrait photo into a short moving shot while preserving the original framing and subject.
High-Volume Draft Boards: Batch many quick 5 second clips affordably to preview ideas before committing to longer or higher-resolution renders.
Multi-Format Ad Variants: Produce the same concept in several aspect ratios and resolutions to fill different placements from one prompt.
How to Use Pollo 2.0 API
Get an API Key: Create a Pollo API account and generate your API key from the developer dashboard.
Choose the Model: Send requests to the Pollo 2.0 endpoint at /generation/pollo/pollo-v2-0.
Add Your Inputs: Provide a prompt for text-to-video or an image URL for image-to-video, then set resolution (480p, 720p, 1080p), length (5 or 10), and toggle generateAudio.
Generate and Retrieve: Submit the task, poll the returned taskId for status, and download the finished video once processing succeeds.
Prompting Best Practices for Pollo 2.0 API
Describe the subject, the action, and any sound you want in one clear brief. When audio is on, naming the intended tone or spoken mood helps the generated sound match the scene.
A Simple Prompt Formula
Subject and identity details + specific action + setting and style + camera or shot + audio cue when sound is on
What You Should Notice
Anchor The Character: Describe distinct features like hair, clothing, or color so consistency has clear traits to hold across the clip.
Name The Sound: When generated audio is enabled, state the mood, speech, or ambient noise you expect so it fits the visuals.
Pick The Frame Shape: Choose the aspect ratio up front to match the target placement and avoid awkward cropping later.
Keep One Action: Focus each 5 or 10 second clip on a single clear movement so the short duration stays coherent.
Use A Reference: Supply an image when you need a specific look locked, rather than describing it in words alone.
Example Prompts
Narrated Explainer Moment
"A friendly barista in a green apron leans over the counter and explains today's special, gesturing at a pastry case. Warm cafe lighting, medium shot, generated audio with a calm welcoming voice, realistic style, 9:16 vertical framing."
Consistent Character Episode
"A round orange robot with one blue eye rolls through a tidy workshop, picks up a wrench, and waves it triumphantly. Bright clean lighting, steady tracking shot, playful illustrated style, subject stays identical throughout the clip."
Reference-Locked Product Shot
"Using the reference image, animate the ceramic teapot as steam rises and the lid gently lifts, then settles back down. Soft window light on a wooden table, slow push-in, quiet ambient kitchen sound, natural realistic style."
Vertical Lifestyle Clip
"A cyclist coasts down a tree-lined path at golden hour, jacket rippling in the breeze, smiling toward the camera. Handheld follow shot, warm backlight, ambient wind and tire sound, grounded realistic style, 9:16 mobile format."
